Student Council President- Brent Cunningham

Our student council class president for the 2015-2016 school year is senior Brent Cunningham. With being class president, a lot of responsibility and the ability to be a great leader is required, which Brent seems to have. Brent has many great plans for this school year.

“Two goals, is to make a foundation for upcoming grades to get involved as much as they can,” senior Brent Cunningham said. “We also want to raise school spirit, we want students to see how organizations and groups can help you become a leader and help others around you.” With Brent being the first student body president at the high school, he will have a tough job getting everyone involved but he has the plans and the help to do it. His main focus this year is student involvement.

“I want to focus on doing activities where all grades and all people can get involved, so that way leadership and student involvement will spread throughout the school,” said Cunningham. Brent’s ideas seem like a sure way to get students more involved.

“During M.A.D. (Make a Difference) week, we are going to try to have fundraisers,” Cunningham said. “Where grades compete and try to have more clubs participate; where everyone gets a word and gets a say.”

Brent has been proving to be a great president and his plans will insure more student involvement. This school year should be a great one with a new school, a new president and some new teachers. It’s a new beginning. We are Bruins United.
