The Lady Bruins volleyball team is half way through their 2016 season. So far the Lady Bruins have won three games and lost ten of this season. Although their losses outnumber their wins, head coach Tom Williams is looking at the silver lining.

“I think we’re playing better now than we did last year, our attitude is getting better,” Williams said.

Many of the experienced players agree with him.

“I think it’s getting better, we’ve added more rules to have people get along,” senior Olivia Lindsly said.

Even though this season is better than previous seasons, the team still experiences some issues out on the court.

“The team getting down on themselves and losing focus on the goal is our biggest problem,” Lindsly said.

Communication problems on the court are a minor issue according to sophomore Presley Burch.

“We’ve been working on speaking up in drills,” Williams said.

The Lady Bruins next home game is September 13 beginning at 6 p.m. with the varsity girls against Supulpa.
