The presidential election isn’t the only office that matters on the ballot this year. The race for State Senate District 29 is one of these such races, which is for Republican John Ford’s position. The two candidates vying for the seat are Republican Julie Daniels and Democrat Robert Jobe. Julie Daniels fought a decent race against her opponent Jean Oliver in the republican primaries and won the vote 59% to 41%. Daniels main issues are Highway 60 improvements, criminal justice reform, expanding jobs, limiting government spending and improving public education. Jobe’s main focuses are increasing teacher salaries, improving Oklahoma’s tax code and bring job opportunities to to all Oklahomans.
