College fair and voter registration
September 24, 2018
This Tuesday, Sept. 25 is this year’s college fair. It will be held in the Choir Room (A014) from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Juniors and seniors, if you’re interested in college searching before you graduate, this is for you! It’s free to enter, but you can pre-register at www.gotocollegefairs.com
There will also be a FAFSA (Federal Student Aid) Presentation at 6:15. It is suggested to pre-register and bring a copy of your barcode the day of the fair. This event is for you to meet some college admission representatives one-on-one, and prepare for your future!
In addition to the college fair Tuesday, there will be a designated time and area for seniors to go register to vote.
Seniors are invited to register to vote Tuesday, Sept. 25 during their Government classes; there will also be an opportunity Oct. 9, in the Commons area during junior-senior lunch, according to Connie Lavoie, League of Women Voters member.
LaVoie and fellow League member Vanessa Drummond will visit Government classes as a part of National Voter Registration Day.
Last spring 26 students registered during the League’s visit, LaVoie said.
“It was an exciting time to do voter registration,” she said.
